Facing its vastness
We do flee.
We are but ants upon the tree
in a forest the size of a galaxy.
Our forevers don’t finish the ‘f’
But our commitments last less than a sec…
And yet within a briar grows,
Branching off to lives unknown.
Our bramble becomes a universe,
Infinity without the curse.
